Opened the summer of 2007, Bug-Bee Hive Lodge & Event Center, is located in the center of the resort. It is a three story, 12,000 square foot facility that offers:
- Check-in/Registration area
- Main floor lounge
- Gift shop
- Library
- Bee Sweet Shop
- Indoor swimming pool
- Hot tub
- Locker rooms
- 3200 square foot meeting & retreat area
- Catering kitchen
One 3-bedroom and one 4-bedroom rental units located on the third floor of the lodge.
“I thought it was time for the Bug-Bee Hive to have a centerpiece building that would celebrate over 90 years in the resort business as well as take us into the next generation of serving guests,” said Paul Bugbee, self-described dock-boy at the Hive.
“It is our intent that this lodge and event center will significantly expand our hospitality services to our wonderful summer guests while providing business and recreational facilities for enhancing our off season/winter business as well.”
